WORDS OF FREEDOM

Is Life still Worth Living?

Chirping birds on a swaying tree,
reach thy ear in sweet melody,
breezes slap thy cheek gently,
isn't life worth living?

Dream is but to reach,
freedom is but to fight for,
peace is but to realize,
is life still worth living?

Thank Thee

When all the reasons I exist
vanished in the dark of night
blown by the wildest storm
buried in the deepest hole
and my traces disappeared
I am gone.
Thank Thee for giving me the reason
to live in this callous world
Thank Thee for needing me
to give love and peace
for this still callous world.

War Child
This is a song from The Cranberries, which reminds us how cruel a war is. And how foolish humans are!

Who will save the war child, baby?
Who controls the key?
The web we weave is thick and sordid
Fine by me

At times of war we're all the losers
There's no victory
We shoot to kill and kill your lover
Fine by me

War child,
Victim of political pride
Plant to seed territorial greed
We should mind the war child

I spent last winter in New York
And came upon a man
He was sleeping on the street and homeless
He said, "I fought in Vietnam."

Beneath his shirt he wore the mark
He bore the mark with pride
A two inch deep incision craft
into his side

Who's the loser now?
We're all the losers now.
